Week 63

Oh my goodness this week was crazy! Sister Feinga and I hardly said goodbye to anyone in Charles Town because we were crazy busy! On Tuesday morning we found out that no sisters were coming to replace us so we had to do a ton of stuff! But, that's okay because at least we didn't accidentally forget to say goodbye and hurt anyone's feelings. Nope, we just didn't say goodbye to anyone! Haha!

Well, on Tuesday night we had an amazing church tour with Lisa! It actually started off as the worst church tour that I have ever given and ended in the chapel with Lisa and I both sobbing while I played, "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" on the piano. Sadly, she ran out of the chapel after we finished because she felt undeserving. But, that wasn't the end! She texted us and she is now meeting with the elders and I'm sure she will come to know that the Book of Mormon is true very soon!

In the Kent Island Branch, we are teaching 5 people! 3 are the teenage and pre-teen daughters of members of the branch, the Harrisons! They came to the Washington DC Temple on Saturday to look at the lights! Also, I ran into my ROOMMATE FROM BYU-IDAHO, Laleska! It was crazy!!! She was there visiting her boyfriend who we also used to hang out with when I was at school. It was weird having my pre-mission life mesh with my mission life haha but it was so good to see her! FUN!

So, we taught the Harrison girls at the temple about baptism and repentance! They are so excited and ready to be baptized! They just need to be taught and start coming to church regularly! I attached a picture with them and my companion Sister Blosch!

We also taught our other investigator, Billy, this week! He is 83 and loves to talk! I love to listen to his stories, too, so that makes it hard to leave in an hour! BUH! Hahaha! We taught him about the Restoration by watching the 20 minute Restoration film! It was awesome! He felt and recognized the Spirit and committed to pray to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet and to read the introduction to the Book of Mormon.

Well, we need to go shop so I will email you all next week!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!! I love you all and appreciate EVERYTHING you do for my companion and me!

Love,

Sister Lewis
