Week 34: My last email from the mission field...

It is true: I am no longer going to be a missionary because I am going to be killed by our mission president when he finds out that we got in an accident in the church parking lot with the elders. The damage was severe: a crack in the fender and a vent that popped out. Haha just kidding it was super minor and it was the elders' fault...mostly. Haha! But, in a court of law they don't have "mostly at fault" so the elders would be at fault there.

So, I just emailed on Thursday and not too much has happened since then besides the accident and me chipping my tooth! Buh! I had it repaired today though and treated myself to some new skirts from Goodwill!

But, on the more spiritual side of things, we met this less active in our ward last week. Her name is Rose and she is just about the most interesting person on this side of the Shenandoah! Haha, she has some Cherokee heritage and she loves it! She tells us all about the Native American crafts that she makes and she gifted it with some hand maid American and confederate flags (which is kind of ironic because my companion...) but anyway, she stayed outside and chatted with us for an hour the first time we went over last week and about an hour and a half last night (we tried to leave but she wouldn't let us haha!) And last night...SHE TOLD US SHE LOVES US! It was so awesome to see how following the inspired direction of our leaders helped her to feel our love for her and the Spirit softened her heart! I love her a lot! I will have to send pictures when I get them with her!

Well, that was really the greatest thing that happened and I have only 5 minutes to email my president so...

PEACE AND LOVE! I LOVE YOU ALL THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO AND GIVE ON MY BEHALF!

Love,

Sister Lewis
