Week 27

Phew! I need a nap! Actually I have taken quite a few naps this week trying to recover from a cold or sinus infection or allergies or WHATEVER it is haha but I am still tired somehow!

Anyway, this week was really good! So some of the highlights:

On Wednesday my new companion came to Mt Airy! She is so adorable and we are getting along so well! She is goofy but not in the same way as Sister Jeppson. She's just lots of fun and helps me a lot when I start to freak out. She is much more calm and collected than I!

We did a lot of visits with active members this week so that Sister Sessions could get to know them and that was a lot of fun for me too! I realized that I know my area a lot better than I thought I did! My confidence is growing!

We also visited a less active family who LOVES music! We have visited them in the past and every time we go over we talk a lot about music and the parents' life adventures and all that! They are super well traveled and just some of the most interesting people in the world! The parents also have a super cute love story so that's fun to talk about. They all love music and the daughter Savannah said she would come play guitar at our ward talent show in a few weeks if I would sing. I was told before my mission that the use of my talents would touch the lives of many. It has been a blessing to see that promise fulfilled.

Another cool miracle! When Sister Jeppson was here, we stopped by a former investigator's house a few times and she was never there, just her husband and his mom. Her name is Kiki. Anyway, we stopped by last night and she was finally home!! We had a really good talk with her and she LOVES the church! She went for a few years but stopped coming because she didn't want to be baptized. At the end of the night, she offered me a Tagalong (I almost cried because I didn't get any Girl Scout Cookies this year haha) and told us we could come back during the day another time and we could chat! We are so excited to talk to her more about her experience with coming to church and meeting with missionaries in the past. We are hopeful that she will want to talk to us about the gospel.

Well, that's all for this week. I love you all and thank you for your love and prayers!

Love,

Sister Lewis
